Almost forgot to post about it, but I filled in on last night’s Big Brother episode. That’s two recaps in under four days. Usually I take five days to do one House recap. Lemme tell ya, I’m feeling every word. But I did it!

So the Big Brother premiere liveblog last week was fun, but this Thursday I had full recap duty and a tight deadline. Several hours of missed sleep later, here’s the finished product! Enjoy!
So things have been quiet around here so far this summer. That’s actually good news, because it means I’m getting a ton of work done on the novel. I’m almost to 10,000 words, which is a big deal for me.
The hiatus is about over, though, because my next TVgasm project has just kicked off. For the rest of the summer, I’m going to be recapping…
This is a huge deal, because TVgasm cut its teeth on Big Brother back in the early days of the show. I started reading TVgasm because of the Big Brother recaps. If TVgasm has a flagship show, Big Brother is it.
The show airs three nights a week, and I’ll be covering Thursday nights. TVgasm tradition is to liveblog the premiere, which aired last night. My first-ever liveblog went swimmingly. It should be up on the site later today once I finish editing it. I’ll post an update when it’s up.

The good folks at Editor Unleashed are having a flash fiction contest. I’m a fan of instant gratification, so I’ve been wanting to try my hand at something really short. The result is here at Stark Raving Calm.

I created a Scribd account this morning and posted my stories there. Scribd has been around for awhile as a general-purpose document-sharing site, but they may have just turned the corner toward the creative market. Like Smashwords, Scribd now lets authors charge for their work, an update noteworthy enough to be mentioned in today’s New York Times. Not to worry, though, my short stories will be one hundred percent free for the foreseeable future.
Looks like the e-text wars are heating up.
My recap of the House season finale, “House Does Dallas” is wrapped. Despite a House season that was… inconsistent, I call my first TVgasm season a raging success. Thanks for reading and I should have news about my summer assignment soon!
